What is Revit - in (very) brief:
Autodesk Revit is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) software tool. It is currently broken up into 3 discipline based flavours; Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and Revit MEP.
Straight out of the box, this software is not BIM but rather a powerful parametric 3D modeling database driven program that allows for BIM to take place.
